If you are having problems with homeless people in the district, the following agencies are available to help:
Volunteers of America/Care Alliance Day and Evening Outreace. During the day call 216/621-0120 and ask for Jim Schlecht; evenings page Jim at 216/982-7376.
Mental Health Services Daily Outreach Services, Afternoon Drop-in Services and 50 bed overnight shelter for men with medical or psychiatric disabilities 216/623-2134
Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center Services for Homeless Veterans. Day Services, call Pat Tomcho 440/526-3030x7966. Evening Services page Keith Moody 216/648-2578.
Salvation Army Shelter 216/566-0047 Outreach staff can assist with information, transportation and referrals to appropriate agencies.
Northeast Coalition for the Homeless 216/241-1104 for additional assistance.

Responsible Hospitality Initiative Underway
With the expert assistance of nationally recognized Jim Peters of the Responsible Hospitality Institute, the Historic Warehouse District Development Corporation has initiated a process which will lead to a better understanding and collaboration of its various stakeholders.
With the emergence of the Cafe Society, as exemplified by the mixed uses of the Historic Warehouse District throughout all day parts, it is vitally important that all the various components of the District work together collaboratively to assure continued economic vitality.
After an Orientation session during October with key community leaders, the process continued in January as a wider audience was recruited to participate in these discussions.
We hosted a Leadership Summit in March during which specific goals --- and strategies ---- were agreed upon. A summary of our report will be available soon.
