13th Annual Historic Downtown Cleveland Luncheon Forum

Presenting Speaker: Martha Raymond, National Coordinator for Heritage Areas, National Park Service. In her role with the National Park Service, Ms. Raymond coordinates federal support and assistance for forty-nine Congressionally-designated national heritage areas across the country. The National Park Service is celebrating its 100th Anniversary in 2016.  Ms. Raymond's presentation is entitled "The Power of Partnerships:  Leveraging Resources for Stronger, Healthier Communities."

Historic Gateway Neighborhood Corporation, Historic Warehouse District Development Corporation, and PlayhouseSquare District Development Corporation bring nationally renowned speakers to Cleveland each year at this popular annual event. Past speakers have included Mike Lydon, Dr. John Crompton, Honorable Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Stacy Mitchell, Christopher B. Leinberger and many others.


Take a Hike:  Downtown Cleveland Walking Tours

May 15 - September 18, 2016

Enjoy five, free, guided walking tours of the Warehouse District, Gateway District, PlayhouseSquare, Canal Basin Park in the Flats and the Civic Center.  Featuring actors and actresses portraying important Clevelanders from the past, these tours are a fun-filled way to explore downtown Cleveland. 

The Warehouse District Tour is scheduled every Wednesday.  Meet at 6 PM in front of Constantino’s Market (1278 West 9th Street).

Admire breathtaking architecture as you learn about the historic Garment District, hardware industry and beautiful Victorian-style buildings of Cleveland’s First Neighborhood. Learn about the latest Warehouse District projects, such as Small Box, a marketplace of retail shops made from converted shipping containers. Home to fabulous restaurants, a vibrant nightlife and close to 3,000 residents, the Warehouse District is a charming and lively neighborhood. Tour attendees may have the pleasure of meeting John D. Rockefeller or Levi Johnson along the tour route. 

Convenient street parking and parking lots are available along West 9th Street and along St. Clair from West 3rd to West 9th.

The 2016 season is presented by Dollar Bank.   Take a Hike is supported in part by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture. The tours also receive generous support from Ohio & Erie Canalway and Downtown Cleveland Alliance.


12th Annual Warehouse District Street Festival

West Sixth Street/St. Clair Avenue

12 Noon to 8 PM

FREE Admission.

Featuring live music, delicious food from neighborhood restaurants and bars, an art show, art demonstrations, residential open houses, children's activities, unique street performers, appearances by Jasmine Dragons Aerialists, Cleveland's Cutest Dog Contest & Fashion Show, a variety of vendors and much more!  Over 12,000 people attend the event each year.  

The event is supported in part by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture.

17th Annual Holiday Tour

5:30 - 11:00 PM

The 17th Annual Holiday Tour in the Warehouse District is scheduled for Wednesday, December 7th, from 5:30-11 pm.  This popular annual fundraiser features tours of Warehouse District condos and apartments along with new developments.  At each tour stop, attendees enjoy delicious food samplings from neighborhood restaurants and bars.  Live music adds to the festivities, and the evening winds down with a dessert reception.

Proceeds benefit the Historic Warehouse District Development Corporation.  Check back later this year for more details.
